So I know I said I was taking a small break but I was able to find a few spare minutes today to drool over wedding inspirations... I love this idea, maybe for the welcome bags? Ok, now I'm gone for real....pretend you never saw me! Back in January!

With all the craziness from the holiday season, I'm taking a short blogging break. I will be back after the New Year (after I've scoped out some locations down South) and hope to be in full wedding planning mode!! Happy Holidays!

I really like the idea of having candles everywhere at the reception. I think this is a great way to spice up the look of glass hurricanes and if you are going with the whole monogram thing, it gives you a great opportunity to use it!

I am all about a handmade, diy wedding and what I can't make myself I am definitely going to search for on Etsy. They offer so many beautiful, handmade goods.

For the welcome bags

I am very pro-welcome bag. I think they are such a cute idea, especially since we are doing a destination wedding and some of our out of town guests are traveling VERY far to attend (i.e. Germany!).
I think this is such a cute addition to the bags, I'm sure these were intended to be favors but I like the idea more for welcome bags.

A simple solution...

I have always known that I wanted our dog Peewee in our wedding. I just wasn't sure how it would work logistically. He is a small dog and he has some pretty bad separation anxiety, to the point where I know he would not behave sitting on someone's lap during the ceremony, unless it was mine or Mike's! But he is a part of our family and I want him there.

Then I spotted this great idea on Brides.com...allow the dog to procede down the aisle with you, then reward him with a special doggie cake...genius! He'll be busy eating the cake while we are getting married. I love it, and it just might work!
